The Beach Brawl (B2) is a redpoint format, boulder style climbing competition held in our gym by the beautiful beaches of South County, RI. Our third (3rd) annual competition will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 with $5,000 in cash & prizes for competitors. It’s Rhode Island’s premiere bouldering competition that’s great for local climbers and for new climbers look for their first competitive climbing experience.

After school & weekend youth climbing programs are designed for all ability levels, whether your child is brand new to climbing or has been scaling the walls for years.

Our small class sizes (4:1) allow us to get to know your child individually and provide the proper instruction to suit their abilities and interest. Your child will build friendships while they build their knowledge and self-confidence.

Climbing is quickly becoming a mainstream competitive sport, recognized by the United States and International Olympic Committees. Through the skilled instruction of our USA Climbing (USAC) certified coaches, these teams will allow your child to climb at their highest level and grow as a competitor.

Toddler Time – Every Saturday 8:30-9:30am
Join us for our new class for your little ones ages 1-3! Toddler Time is a fun class facilitated by our youth instructors. We will explain activities for parents to help their toddlers climb, explore, crawl and play with others!

Yoga: Mondays & Wednesdays 7-8pm

Free for Members and only $10 for everyone else! Yoga is a great compliment to climbing that helps increase dexterity, flexibility and balance.

Gracing the pages are some of Rock Spot’s favorites like Mike Dominguez, Keith Nadeau, Sebi Krzaczek, Patrick McGuigan and AJ Pualani. Some of our favorite photos were taken by resident South Boston photographer Brian Lewis, so be sure to pick up a copy and ask for an autograph from your favorite climbers in the gym!

The event will be hosted at our Peace Dale gym from 5pm-midnight on Wednesday 9/12/18, Thursday 9/13/18, or Friday 9/14/18.

Action Film Fest

November 15th, 7:00pm

We’re calling all artists and filmmakers of the community to create a 5-minute short film of their latest projects, summits, waves, and all other outdoor adventures. All experience levels are encouraged to submit a film. Spread the word to your friends and family! All community members are welcome to enter submissions, and of course, all are welcome to attend this FREE event.

Join us for a free tour of some hard to find and overlooked boulders in Lincoln Woods State Park! The tour is for beginners who have never been to Lincoln Woods and more advanced climbers who are new to the area. We’ll mostly be walking and scoping the scene, but crash pads will be present to lay down at the base of some Woods classics!

The excitement is high across all Rock Spot Climbing locations as we wait eagerly to begin wall construction at our newest location on 42 Rice Street in Providence, RI on the historic West Side of Providence. The walls are almost finished so we thought we’d give you an update on the progress!
